Ashfield Road, Haringay
A new residential scheme on an urban site, previously inhabited by garages and a warehouse. The main block reinstates the street frontage and houses four apartments of various sizes. A rhythmic pattern of projecting and recessed bay windows complement the adjacent terraced housing. To the rear, three split-level studios are grouped around a central landscaped courtyard. The forms of the new studios are inspired by the original ‘North light’ industrial buildings that previously occupied the site creating generous top light, double height apartments.
An undulating zinc roof runs across the site unifying the separate elements of the composition.
